CCEA Oy (hereinafter CCEA) is committed to protecting the privacy of the users of its web services and participants of its events according to all applicable laws and best privacy practices. This privacy policy describes the practices concerning the collection and processing of personal data at CCEA. By using CCEA’s websites and/or participating in CCEA’s events, user approves the terms of this privacy policy.

Our privacy principles

We collect personal data for the purpose of CCEA marketing and managing CCEA’s customer relationships. We only collect data that is necessary in relation to these purposes. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is user consent, customer relationship or CCEA’s legitimate interest to market its services.

CCEA complies with data security requirements and practices that can be expected from a diligent and professional operator in the field concerned. CCEA will carry out the appropriate technical and organizational measures referred to in the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679, (“Data Protection Regulation”) aimed at preventing the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data.

Register name and content

We collect personal data to the CCEA customer and marketing register. The register contains personal data of the persons who have given the information by themselves when visiting CCEA web services or when signing up for the CCEA events. In addition, the register contains customer data that is needed to deliver our services and to fulfil contractual obligations.

The personal data may contain e.g. the following details:

  • Name
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
  • Organization and its size
  • Job title and role in organization
  • Fields of interest supplied by the person
  • Dietary restrictions

Use of cookies and other similar tools

We use analytics and marketing automation tools which collect users’ browsing information, such as time spent on CCEA web service and CCEA’s websites visited. CCEA web services use cookies and other similar methods to improve user experience, to develop web services and events, analytics and for personalized content and targeted marketing.

A cookie is a text file saved on the user’s computer. Cookies do not harm the user’s computer or files. You can turn off cookies from your browser’s settings.

With our partners, such as Google and LinkedIn, we gather data on the usage of our web services. We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google AdWords, Google Display Network, Google DoubleClick and LinkedIn. The data is used to analytics and with your consent, to targeted marketing. The collected data includes:

  • Clicked links and watched content
  • Device data

Your personal data may be received by:

  • our company and our employees
  • payment processor, that receives payment from you or the company you represent
  • accounting company, that files invoices and receipts to our accounting records
  • auditor, that inspects our accounting records
  • partners such as Google and LinkedIn

CCEA and companies belonging to the same group of companies with CCEA (hereinafter Group Company) are located in the member states of the EU. If the purpose of the processing of personal data requires transfer of data between CCEA and the Group Companies, we may share personal data with the Group Companies in which case, likewise, we will ensure that the processing of personal data complies with the applicable data protection legislation and this privacy notice.

Storage of personal data

All personal data will be kept confidential and stored in an appropriate way. CCEA has a named person, who is responsible for storing the personal data and information security.

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties.

Personal data is not transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

We process personal data for only as long as required or entitled by applicable legislation. We evaluate the necessity of the data stored on a regular basis. Any data when no longer needed will be erased.

How is the data safeguarded?

Personal data in electronic form is protected by reasonable technical means generally accepted in our industry, such as firewalls and passwords. Access to personal data is only allowed to persons that need access to such information for the performance of their duties.

Right to obtain information and access your data
As a data subject you have the right to obtain information on whether your personal data is processed or not. If your personal data is processed, you as a data subject have a right to access your personal data.

As a data subject you have the right to demand the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you.

In certain situations, you as a data subject have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.

As a data subject you have the right to withdraw your consent, when processing is based on your consent.

As a data subject you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in the event that you believe that CCEA as a data controller does not fulfil its responsibilities or exercise the data subject rights as set out in the Data Protection Regulation. Changes to this privacy policy

CCEA may from time to time make changes to this privacy policy without prior notice to comply with the legislative changes and best practices. We do not inform about the changes separately, as such we recommend reading this privacy policy on a regular basis.
